$50 First Charter National Bank Notes

Original Series $50 National Bank Note
You’re looking at a picture of the first type of fifty dollar national bank note ever issued by the United States. These notes are incredibly difficult to acquire due to the limited number of banks which issued them. Most high denomination national banknotes were destroyed or redeemed in the early 1900s. If you recently came across an old $50 national like the one pictured above, consider yourself lucky. It may be worth a lot of money even in poor conditions. If you want to know how much your fifty dollar national banknote is worth, reach out to us as you may be pleasantly surprised with how much we offer you.

Fifty Dollar 1882 Brown Back Territorial National Bank Note Value
The majority of fifty dollar brown back national banknotes from 1882 will be worth at least a thousand dollars, regardless of which bank the note was issued for. These $50 bills are called brown back notes because the reverse of every bill has a brown back. Prices of these banknotes can spike dramatically very quickly. Consider contacting us immediately if you have one of these rare banknotes.
