Description: Twenty dollar gold certificates from 1863 are incredibly rare and difficult to acquire. These notes always look like the example below, black, green, and red ink with gold paper. To the left is an eagle on an American flag. To the right is the number 20 with a green underprint and white 20. We’ve been lucky enough to handle a number of these during our time collecting, consider us serious buyers if you have this bill.

We’re interested in both denominations. These notes are large size, meaning they’re much bigger than the typical bills you’ll find in your wallet today.

Value: The value of most $20 gold certificates is based upon condition and serial number. However, considering its type, in any condition these bills almost always bring over $100,000.
These rarely become available in the market, and I’ve personally had the pleasure of only handling 3 in my entire lifetime.
