WHAT'S MY COLLECTION WORTH?

Series of 1903 Ten Pesos Certificate from The Philippine Islands Note Value

Year: 1903
Type: The Philippine Islands Banknote
Denomination: Ten Pesos
Country: The Philippines

Picture of The Philippine Islands Banknote Ten Pesos Silver Certificate bill from 1903

Description: The example above is in pretty rough condition, but don’t let that distract you from how much it’s actually worth. It’s common to see these notes in poor condition like this, but nicer examples do exist. Better condition examples will always bring a lot more money. George Washington is pictured at the center of each of these 1903 ten pesos silver certificates.

The United States printed about 1,700,000 of these banknotes for the Philippine Islands, which may seem like a lot but in the grand scheme of things, this is a small number.  We pay top dollar for banknotes from The Philippine Islands. These banknotes are black and yellow, with a red seal and serial numbers.

You may think this is a red seal United States bill because of the print type and having George Washington at the center, however, it was only printed by the U.S. BEP issued for the Philippine Government.

Value: Low-grade examples should be worth at least $500. We would pay over $2,000 for better condition examples.
